NFL Free Agency Live: Following Latest News, Rumors As Tampering Continues

8:18 a.m.: One of the most surprising moves Tuesday was the Green Bay Packers’ decision to release Jordy Nelson. Despite his age (he’ll be 33 to start the season) and injury history (most notably a torn ACL a few years ago), Nelson figures to have a decent market.

8:02 a.m.: Tuesday was a busy day for the Patriots, who saw Dion Lewis, Danny Amendola and Malcolm Butler all reportedly agree to deals with new teams. And there’s already some interesting news about the Patriots on Wednesday.

According to one report, the Patriots made an offer to quarterback A.J. McCarron. Meanwhile, it’s looking less and less likely free agent tackle Nate Solder re-signs with the Patriots.

8 a.m.: As a blizzard hit parts of the East Coast on Tuesday, there was a flurry of activity across the NFL.

Free agency doesn’t officially begin until Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET, but with the legal tampering period underway, there was no shortage of reported deals throughout the day Tuesday.
